  • For the past 25 years, I have called Canyon Creek Subdivision home, and 2 years ago I retired. My career spanned multiple industries, starting with a decade of service in the US Army Corps of Engineers, where I was stationed in Germany, Hawaii, and Virginia. After my military service, I transitioned into the petrochemical sector in Houston, applying my engineering expertise to design and implement automation and safety shutdown systems for plants. In 2000, I moved to Austin, where I worked for leading tech companies such as Applied Materials, Dell, Schneider Electric and General Motors. My roles allowed me to lead teams across engineering, logistics, procurement, finance, and project management, ensuring I remained at the forefront of technological advancements.

My journey began in Wisconsin, where I grew up on a dairy farm before pursuing higher education. I earned my undergraduate engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison—go Badgers! Later, with the support of Uncle Sam, I completed a master's degree in mechanical engineering at Rice University in Houston. While my professional life has been fulfilling, my greatest pride lies in my family. I am a parent to three grown children and a grandparent to three wonderful grandchildren. I met my wife of 40 years during my time in Germany, and remarkably, she was also from Wisconsin, just a couple of hours from where I was born.

Beyond my career and family, I am committed to keeping Canyon Creek safe. As an active walker, runner, and cyclist, I advocate for better traffic rule compliance, particularly at stop signs, to protect everyone in the neighborhood. I am also focused on wildfire preparedness, recognizing the potential risks to our community. By promoting awareness, emergency planning, and preventive measures, I hope to help create a neighborhood that is both mindful of traffic safety and ready to respond to natural threats. Ensuring a secure and prepared community is essential for maintaining the quality of life we all cherish.
